This amenity filled urban park, at 1605 E. Pikes Peak Avenue, is just a mile and a half east of downtown features such attractions as Prospect Lake. Here, you can go fishing and swimming. Check out the Beach House. You can go for a run or stroll on the 1.25-mile paved trail which encircles local aquatic attraction or you can run a couple of 5-k loops which allow you se see all of the park amenities. You cant take a 2.2 mile run aor stroll aaround the perimeter of the park. If you are a bicycle enthusiast, you may want to check out the Colorado Springs Velodrome. Memorial Community Park is home to the Labor Day Liftoff. When you attend this fun-filled event, you may have the opportunity to go for a hot air balloon ride. Also, the event features plenty of munchies.
